18th century.  Fine Thai black lacquer and gilt decorated two door manuscript cabinet of tapered rectangular form, elegantly painted on the double doors and side panels with lush landscapes of interlocking leafy foliage enclosing figures from the Ramayana in flight over rocky shores housing mythical beasts. Lotus Blossoms painted on the two drawers and aprons. Interior painted with red lacquer and fitted with two shelves.
